Crispy Beef Tacos
A tangy, smoky ground beef with cheese, paired with a homemade salsa, encompassed with a fried crispy shell for the most satisfying crunch.

This is an easy dish that is seriously satisfying. You will have a hard time buying taco shells, after you make them fresh like these ones. A taco is best paired with a homemade salsa! If you can nail the toppings, it’s almost like nothing can go wrong. The best thing about this dish is that it is customizable. Don’t like ground beef? Try chicken, try steak, try whatever you think would taste good in a fried shell. If you try this tell me how it went in the comments below!

Ingredients
Tacos
- 1 lbs ground beef
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 1/2 tbsp chipotle in adobo
- Shredded cheese of choice
- Corn tortillas
- Cooking oil
- Sour cream
- Lettuce
- Tomato for topping
Salsa
- 4 roma tomatoes
- 2 jalapenos
- 1/4 yellow onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
Instructions
- Wash and place tomatoes and jalapenos in a pot with cold water. Bring to a boil
- Boil until the tomatoes split. Place tomatoes to the side, and jalapenos into your blender, along with your onion and garlic. Blend and add chicken bouillon and blend again until smooth. Place tomatoes into blender and pulse until tomatoes are broken up. Taste for salt. Set aside.
- Brown your ground beef and then break down on medium high heat. Add taco seasoning, and chipotle. Mix well, and turn off the heat once cooked.
- In a large pan, bring oil to medium high. It should not smoke, if it is smoking it’s too hot.
- Add a corn tortilla to the oil, quickly and carefully add ground beef and cheese on top of tortilla. Close tortilla using tongs or a spatula. Fry until golden on each side. Place on cooling rack.
- To assemble, just take a cooled down taco, split open, add lettuce, tomato, salsa, and sour cream. You can get creative with your toppings.
- Enjoy!
Tips & Notes
Don’t crowd the pan. Too many tacos in a frying pan can make the process take longer. Be patient, it actually doesn’t take too long anyways!
